I started playing with Polymar Clay recently when, I had a cake topper issue. I had a wedding cake due with a personalized cake topper, but due to living in Central Florida and our lovely humid climate, the topper didn't dry in time. I had to come up with a back up plan with only 2 days til the cake was due. One of my cake friends on Facebook told me to try polymar clay. Funny thing is, I just happen to have some because I've been wanting to try it but was afraid of it. So that same evening I tried it and it was like, Holy cow! I am a true believer in polymar clay toppers now and a great keepsake for the recipient. I kept playing with it and created a variety of gifts for my girls and their friends. I have now decided to start selling them too!

The recipient of the cake found it from a bakery called Artisan Cake Company and wanted me to try to duplicate it. I tried to get it as close as possible since it was for a 12 yr old girl. Everything is covered in fondant and all pieces are fondant. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake is 14" round and has a layer of buttercream then I hand cut the fondant Gir and Piggy.

The bride requested a simple rustic style wedding cake. She like the spackle look with peals. She said a lot of her favors had mustaches and lips. I had an issue with humidity here in Florida so my gumpaste topper wasn't drying in time so I took a chance with Polymar Clay and it was my savior!

This was a challenging cake. The mom requested a cake for 2 of her kids both adults. Her son like playing Modern Warfare 3 and her daughter loves Tinkerbell. So throwing ideas around with one of her other daughters we came up with this. I was on a time crunch so I bought all the figures and strategically placed them so it looked like the military guys were trying to take down gigantic Tinkerbell. Other than the decorations being split in half so was the inside of the cake. Half was mable w/van bc and the other was mable w/ strawberries and bananas.
